Your Opportunity

As a member of the ZEROe project, you will join a team of highly motivated and valuable people who are involved in aircraft concept exploration, technologies development, next generation industrial system and future hydrogen ecosystem preparation that will shape the development of our ZEROe

aircraft.

We are looking for a talented candidate who can reinforce our project team by bringing experience in the field of electric HVDC for fuel cell systems and respective balance of plant components (HVDC and LVDC) as well as making the difference through proven interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Your Accountabilities

As part of Airbus and to accelerate the development of a ZEROe aviation, you will drive the development of the electric design of fuel cell systems and balance of plant components . This ranges from specifying the system/component requirements, defining components and selecting the technology, sizing the component and implementing it with suppliers.

Your Main Responsibilities

As such

  • You will design, size and optimize fuel cell systems and related components with a focus on electrical aspects.

  • You will identify electrical and fluid-dynamic system and component requirements as well as core parameters and drive system architecture and related trades.

  • You will drive the electrical system level integration while ensuring safety and taking into account specific risks when using electric power at high voltages, hydrogen, compressed air as well as coolants inside the system.

  • You will contribute to the verification strategy of the design and the implementation by defining system and component level verification and validation means including tests.

  • You will lead activities with internal and external partners including suppliers and the academic world in order to integrate the components into the overall system.

As such

  • You have a degree in engineering, science or equivalent combined with several years of professional experience in the development of complex systems which ideally includes fuel cell systems, fuel cell stacks or related components.

  • You have substantial experiences in HVDC electrical systems or in electrical design/systems in general.

  • Additionally you bring strong competencies in thermo-dynamics and/or fluid-dynamics.

  • You are experienced in physical and electric system architectures and respective component integration.

  • Ideally you have first experiences in the research & technology sector as well as in project management.

  • You are a proactive and highly motivated person with a great sense of initiative and the ability to manage confidential topics.

  • You show strong communication, interpersonal and networking skills.

  • Your English is at a negotiating level, additional language skills in French / German / Spanish are considered a plus.
